Sunday, July 26th, 2009

You can lose weight by tapping. No, that does not mean tap dancing, but emotional freedom technique tapping. EFT tapping for weight loss has been effective for many people and you can benefit from using this method.

EFT for weight loss works in the same fashion that using the emotional freedom technique for any other problem. By using the fingertips to tap along various natural stress relief, or comfort points, on the body, you can relieve the underlying issues. As you tap the points, make an honest and specific statement about your eating habits or lack of exercise with an affirmation. For example, “I do hate exercising, but I accept myself and I can learn to do it regularly.”

By repeating this phrase at each tapping point, you can entrench any idea that you want within your mind. Your thoughts will then be attached to positive emotions, and your behavior will change. EFT for weight loss is as simple as telling yourself, “I do love fudge, but I am still beautiful, and I don’t need it all of the time.”

You can address the deeper issues behind your cravings and eating habits with the emotional freedom technique as well. If you have been made fun of because of your weight or you have a low self-esteem, you can combine positive thoughts with tapping to relieve the hurt and anxiety associated with your body, weight, and eating habits. If you free yourself from the negative emotions, you will be able to control your behavior.
