What Getting Clear Is All About

Thursday, January 1st, 2009

The main point of what many teachers simply call “Getting Clear” is to release negative energy, clean blockage, and allow yourself to be and have the self you are fully entitled to. Sadly, most of us have learned to hide from our own greatness and sabotage ourselves on a daily basis.

EFT and other methods of releasing negativity are all about allowing your true and magnificent nature to shine through. Once we come to a point in space and time where we can release these self-defeating tendencies, we are often amazed by just how vibrant and powerful we are!

A great question to ask yourself daily as you embrace your clearing practices is “How good can I stand it?”

Pay attention to the subtle response this question creates. If you look closely you will likely find that you are actively resisting the flow of great things into your life.

Why would you do this? Why would anyone want to hold themselves back?

Honestly there are many reasons. But these are topics for another article.

Instead of worrying about why, for now just verify the limitations you are placing on yourself and say out loud: “I love myself and I will be all I can be and more.”

(Feel free to rephrase this affirmation to your preference)

The exact words are less important than the meaning; you have decided to get clear of the blockage, release the negativity, and allow the real and ultra powerful you to emerge.

Combining Affirmations With Tapping

Monday, December 29th, 2008

In the near future I’ll be adding some specific tapping instructions to this blog. But first I wanted to be sure and lay some good basic foundation content, while giving the reader links to some more in-depth resources.

Typically, when an EFT practitioner taps along specific points on his or her energy pathways, he or she will repeat a specific problem. In theory, doing this makes it easier to get consciously clear of said problem.

For instance, one might repeat: “anger and sadness” while tapping to clear the body mind of anger and depression blockages.

However I also believe it is practical to combine positive affirmations with EFT tapping. In fact I find this very effective in terms of inserting positive concepts into the stream of consciousness.

Clearly the individual practitioner will need to choose what works best in the individual situation. But I don’t see a lot of content about suing positive affirmations along with EFT exercises so this is something I wanted to make a point about.
